Hello all my friends !

I have now make a full translation in English to that magazin about Monark racers.
There is probably more pictures and writing from that magazin but I dont have it at the moment.
I will try to find out and if I fint it I will make a scan and put it here on the epoca forum of coarse :=).

This is Robert Lavérs words
I have only translate it the best I can.
Kind regards
Roffe :)

Side text to photos:

See how small the Monark 50cc racer are.
The handle bar sticking out from the fairing and it
need to be 55 mm wide as you can se on the picture up above to the right.

Right Picture :

(Robert Lavér) Here you can see me taking instruction
from Göran Henningsson before my test ride on Lars Perssons bike.

Text in the magazine :

Now it was the time to try Lars bike.
That bike was far smaller then the other bike.
I had a hard time find me fit in the bike even tou the difference in between Lars and me
is only 3 cm in length.
The bike is completly taylormade to fit Lars perfect.
I also belive that this bike is faster then the other Monark I tested ealyer.
The power register is more narrow and peakier.
that fellt much when it were picking up towards top rev.
I belive it has to do with the difference in weight.
Lars waight is only 53 Kg and Kurt-Ivans weight is around 63 Kg.
My own weight is 60 Kg as a compromise.
Lars bike did not have the same soft movement in suspension like
I found in Kurt- Ivans bike.
All turns and corners was taken without any problem and I think that
I could not race any faster with Lars bike.
The difference made me feela bit uncomfort due to the ridingpossition
that did not fit me on Lars bike.

The question now is:
Why have Monark made thise 50 cc racingbikes?
Will they tell any hidden secrets to make standard mopeds to be better?
Do they want to win the World Championship?

These questions is not that easy to answer..
The bikes are build by enthusiasts Göran Henningsson ,Sven Hĺkansson
och Lars Persson.
Althou Monark have payed a great deal of devellop money for the project
to make the dram come true.
I belive Monark is realy helping the 50cc racing class in Sweden by doing this!
Now ordinary people cant say : these bloody mopeds dont go fast do they??!!

Lars have allready raced and earned points from the first race at Nürnburgring
at this years World Championchip 1972 ,and have also chanses along with
Kurt-Ivan to take more point during the season.

Lars is now heading for Jugoslavia,Holland,Belgien and probably East German GP!Later this year at the Swedish Grand Prix at Anderstorp I am sure the point score
have increased.

That will hopefulle bring more money to the racing department, that will of coarse result in better bikes more points and so on...

If Monark will come to full Grand Prix year comittment is not easy to say but on
the Continent this racing class is very big and popular.
And when all this World Championship racing stars will come to Sweden everybody will find that out.
There will be no doubt they will show their fast bikes.

They have not been able to race this bike in Sweden yeat.
So to all you Race event peolpe !
Start plan for more 50cc racing!!
Our other Swedish riders need practice!!

OK What would Monark small racing group be with more tecnical expertise?
We will let the future tell and we will see.
Let the future bring luck to all of them :Lars Göran and Kurt-Ivan.

To put an end to this story I would like to write :
If the bike were for sale, I would be the first one in that line!
Can a bike recive a better critics then that ?? ;=)
