Hi all!

I have salvaged two Peripoli mopeds but have no documents and require information. Can anyone please help?

The first has the frame number:
FP4*17763*
DGM/3676/OM

The second has the frame number:
G12*02551*
DGM/18832/OM
This is of the 'Tubone' type?

Both mopeds have Tomos engines, which I don't know if original.

The engine number of the second engine is 214494. I can't see the engine number of the other moped.

Can anyone provide me with any information on these machines, i.e. year of manufacture, whether there are any factory records etc.

I would be very grateful for any help. Thanks

MattB

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the reply. It looks very similar to the Nevada model but is a Colorado. Has a dual seat and is silver in colour, that is about the only difference as far as I can tell. Is G12 the model?

What year approximately would this be do you think? Early 80s perhaps?

The engine looks correct and I would like that link you mention, if you could send that to me. The auto-clutch seems to be slipping, so spare parts may be needed.

Thanks.

Do you have any idea about the second one, the FP4?

Hi Jack, I am sure the frame is Peripoli because Peripoli is stamped on the headstock. I am guessing the engine may not be original. I was hoping to be able to date it, approximately at least, from the model number and frame number. I have never owned a peripoli so am not really familiar with models and years. I do know that the earlier models had minarelli engines, so guessing that the tomos engine is a replacement. But to register it here in the UK the frame is decisive, so if I can date both mopeds from model/frame number that would be great

Thanks for the engine manual and headsup on the clutch parts. That will prove really useful for sure.

I find it !!! It's a Peripoli Giulietta Pointer. The frame is the same with a little diffrence: the rear fork is very Strange
giulie10

This model was also sold in England with the name AJW Pointer but it was made by Peripoli in Italy

Year 1977
ajw_po10

and I'm not sure but The Italmotor Pointer could be also the same frame

Hi Jack, yes!!! Wow, you're a superstar. I think that is exactly what I have here. Excellent research my friend.

So the frame is a peripoli model FP4 that was exported here and sold under the name AJW.

I have checked that out here and according to our DVLA there are zero AJW Pointers left on the road. I MUST get this back on the road.

I will do some more research and keep you updated.

Thanks
