Hi Motomio,

I think generally the same as the ITOM Astor Sport, the parts list gives the sizes for the oil seals but not the O rings

Thanks for replying, I thought 27mm would be OK but needed a second opinion,

.. and it's just got to be a SS1 as I already have the float!

I am building an ITOM with a disk valve but don't know what size of carb to use.

Would a 27mm carb be too big?

Hi, Can you please tell me the dimensions and make of the rear suspension struts on you're bike? I am searching for a pair of oil damped rear suspension struts for an ITOM but can't find any in the UK that are lightweight and approximately 290mm between bush centres.

I want a pair of lightweight rear suspension units for my ITOM and have been looking at the suspension units used on mountain bikes and small ATV's or quad bikes to use if I can replace their powerful cantilever suspension springs with less powerful springs.

And I am considering adapting the above because I can't find a pair of lightweight rear suspension units that will fit out of the box with 290mm centres.

Are there some Italian suspension units, not sold on the internet, which might fit?

Hi, Will you add an oil seal in the centre of the disk housing?, is an oil seal needed? or does the fuel /oil mix naturally centrifuge out towards the edge of the disk and away from the shaft?

Yes I understand, something is missing on the gear change but there is no picture of what is missing, I see the left hand handlebar has two cables for a hand change.

Can you post a picture of the other side of the ITOM ?

2 carburetors !, a rear suspension unit with a transfer pipe, a hand made alloy tank and seat.

It's gorgeous and like from another world, which of course it is.

Cheers Malanca70,

I think I work hardened the hole I was drilling and it just wont start again with a HSS bit. I'll buy some cobalt bits.

In trying to keep my ITOM project going so I decided to drill some parts for security wire using a 1mm drill and did well with some Dellorto parts and the clutch cover screw before starting to drill a titanium cap head screw but I only got half way through it and had to give up as my drill kept going blunt and burning on the slowest speed of my Dremel !

How do you drill titanium ??
